My seniors (over 80% of my students) are on an in-school field trip today, and so I am playing catchup with grades, lesson plans, cleaning up, and organizing field trips.
We are planning to go to the Exploratorium in April and organizing this field trip is a bit daunting for me. Incidentally, the museum itself has an interesting history as it was founded by Frank Oppenheimer, brother of J. Robert Oppenheimer of Manhattan Project fame (or perhaps infamy)
There is nothing inherently bad or good about it. I just need to get used to the idea of 200+ physics students running around a museum and being counted at the beginning and the end of a day.
So, I am happy to use today to tie up loose ends and figure out how we are going to assess balanced forces in two weeks.
